Young Leaders in Aged Care

In 2019 our Managing Director, Hayley became the Deputy Chair of the Western Australian Next Gen Ambassador Council, an initiative of Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA).

LASA Next Gen is a national program that brings together young leaders to support and steer the aged services industry through a period of unprecedented growth, change and transformation. Next Gen Ambassadors want to share their experience that working in aged care is a dynamic industry with great career pathways and fulfilling and life-changing opportunities.

It’s all about recognising and disrupting our workforce challenges by building the capacity of our next generation leaders to see the opportunities that surround us, and develop new strategies to execute change and innovation

The 2019 LASA Next Gen forum in Perth, Western Australia brought together next generation leaders from bedside to boardroom to connect, share challenges, hear about great leadership and learn how we can all build the workplaces of the future. Our Managing Director, Hayley spoke about Vulnerability in Leadership alongside a panel of fellow Next Gen Ambassadors. She shared her experiences and belief that without vulnerability a supervisory relationship cannot have trust. Hayley believes trust is the cornerstone of empowering employees to perform at their best.
